PC hangs on "Look In" window

have a client running Win 2K Pro connecte to a Win 2003 SBS domain.  When trying to open files in applications and hit the "Look IN" drop down, the system hangs up and I have to enter thee Task Mgr to kill it. The network mappings work fine.  Don't get it.  Please help.

Check the event viewer for more details and post errors/warnings here.

You can also disable the Windows Image Acquisition service and see if that solves the problem.

The client decided he didn't want me to spend anymore time on this issue and decided instead to buy new.  I appreciated the responses, but I don't know where to go from here?  Can anyone suggest an equitable solution of closing this question?
