I have Veritas Backup Exec 9.1
my hardware is a Sony StorStation Carousel.

question: How do I change the settings on tapes for the overwrite protected until date?
Right now it says 'infinite' so many of my tapes are un-recyclable unless I physically Relabel them.

Go to the Media tab - you can modify the selection there.
Right-click the defined User Media Set, choose properties - adjust it there...
