Ok this one should be fairly simple but I cannot figure it out for some reason. I am running a backup to folder on removable hard drive. The drive capacity is 120GB however the backup stops at 12BG and asks for new media.

Also for some reason when you got to tool options then device and media. The only option is to keep media indefinitely there is no option to overwrite media.

Right-click the Back To Disc Folder on the media section of Backup Exec & choose Properties.  On the Advanced tab is the maximum size of the combined backups - increase this capacity and you will receive "new media".

The media overwrite protection is governed by the settings on the Media section - right-click the media set which is used for you backups and alter the overwrite/append settings there.

There is a setting in the backup to disc section to reserve space (I guess so you do not fill up your drive). I had this set to a very large number which was limiting the amount of space that could be used for actual backups.
