The media overwrite protection is governed by the settings on the Media section - right-click the media set which is used for you backups and alter the overwrite/append settings there.

There is a setting in the backup to disc section to reserve space (I guess so you do not fill up your drive). I had this set to a very large number which was limiting the amount of space that could be used for actual backups.

Ok this one should be fairly simple but I cannot figure it out for some reason. I am running a backup to folder on removable hard drive. The drive capacity is 120GB however the backup stops at 12BG and asks for new media. <br />
