It's quite simple, you need to get a few details from your ISP. details like ppoe or ppoa, etc..

Hi,
Just posting this as feedback, the toppic is old, but maybe i could help some people.
needed to install wireless security for someone at home, the person that installed the adsl connection, left the wireless on in unsecured mode and left no note whatsoever with passwords or anything.

So i know u can go to the router configuration either by wireless or ethernet cable using 192.168.1.1 in any browser.
seriousnick posted a link saying the login for a linksys adsl  (in my case WAG200G) router is admin - admin (no capitals)

This worked out great, got to wireless configuration and set a wpa shared key.

(and reset the login settings, as a default admin pswd is a serious threat to any network)

In the case a non default password is set and no info was provided,  You need to reset the router BUT u need some isp details to setup the router again;  to go through the setup wizard provided with the included cd.

so in this case, as S00007359: suggested, just call Your isp :p
