ISA 2006 Enterprise Edition: How to config ISA and FTP-Client (FileZilla) to get FTP-Access?
The ISA-Server should act as a FTP-Proxy.
Must I use socks?

The problem with FTP is that it uses ports 20 , 21 , but the ftp server replies by whatever ports randomly. So , u should use the wizard in ISA to create an FTP rule .

Are you trying to access an ftp site that you host from an external client or access an external site through an internal work station?

I'm trying to access external FTP-server from an internal workstation.
The internal Workstation is on an separate subnet and shouldn't have direct access.
Is it possible to use the ISA as an FTP-Proxy?
What's about SOCKS?

Is isa installed as a firewall or as a proxy only?
If its proxy only then the ftp client should be accessing the internet through its default gateway to the external firewall/router directly, not through ISA.

I'm not really interested in what you say 'again'. ISA is a firewall so 'it' will obviously be about source, destination and ports won't it.
