WS_FTP Pro RELIABLY hangs uploading files > 220 KB to specific server

Hello ~

Using WS_FTP Pro 8.02 to upload PDF files on a specific server, I RELIABLY receive a pause ALWAYS exactly when 196,608 BYTES has transferred!

I have bypassed my router - still happens.
I can transfer files < 100 KB successfully.
I can successfully transfer files of any size to other servers.
I have created new "Site" parameters, in case the parameters were corrupt - still happens.
I completely removed and reinstalled WS_FTP Pro - still happens.

Anyone out there know what this points to?  I have been in communication w/ web hosting provider with no joy (or illumination).

Many Thanks, Jacob

The fact that you can move files to other servers points to a problem with the target server. If you want to eliminate your client software being a problem download another ftp client and see what happens. I like to use AL FTP as a client.

Thank you, Computerguy107 for your reply here.

It's odd that WS_FTP will upload files to other servers AND other FTP clients will upload any file to this errant server.  I agree it's most likely an issue w/ the target server; however, the tech people are not relating to it as their problem.  So, I'm using a different FTP client and planning to move our business.

Thank you for the ALFTP suggestion, I hadn't heard of this one.

Best, Jacob
