Run VBS scripts remotely using Schtasks command.
I would like to run a vbs script remotely on my many work stations in my domain using the schtasks command. I can get it to run but it will not run interactively like the AT used to. I need to notify my users that they need a critical update. Send a console message has been turned off so I would like to run a "Notify" script. Windows XP. I also tried a bat file to start the script on the remote machine, but again it will not work interactivley it just runs in the background. Using cscript.exe //I switch in the bat file does not work. Both the script and the bat files work correctly if I am sitting at the machine. I just can't get it to work remotely.

Thanks, Sirbounty. I found out what my problem is. I was running the task as the SYSTEM account which does not have interactive permissions. So I will us the AT command instead.

What's in your script currently? Is it just a msgbox of sorts?
What if you pass it through cmd?
Schedule it as
cmd /c start c:\yourfile.vbs
