Why do these FW roll-overs ( Waste and Recycling section) only turn to a finger cursor when they're right at the edge - only in IE7 - work fine in Firefox??

Seems to be timing related.  Something to do with the timeout delay on the drop downs.  If you mouse over another tab you need to use clearTimeout to stop the delay in closing the drop down, and immediately close it. Also once the dropdown appears you sometime loose the cursor:hand.  Best explicity apply cursor hand.

I think the JS is running slowly due to all the absolute positioning.

Never loses the cursor hand on the tabs and when you drag the mouse horizontally from tab to tab it immediately closes the drop down, but if you move vertically above a tab the drop down has a delayed closing, similar to what you are trying to achieve.

That's great - thanks. Which part of the code is used to explicitly apply the hand cursor though?

thanks
