Add Animated real person to my website

Hi- I've seen a few websites out there that have what appears to be a real person talking about the product. But it's not a video like on a screen, they appear to walk onto the screen, turn to the audience (me) and start talking. I'd love to do this, but have no idea where to start. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

hmmm.. not exactly, I don't think (although that's cool, thanks!) . I don't want an animated character, I want to do a video of an actor and have him or her appear to walk onto the screen.

That's just a video encoded with Flash using a transparent background.  Can't help you with the actor part, my agent is pissed at me right now.

LOL- thanks. I will have to check into it further, but the sitepal might be the ticket. Let me know if your agent and you make up.

He only wants me to play terrorists or mean Policeman...I'm like; "Dude - I'm a totally nice guy"  well I don't want to bore you with the details...but IT pays a lot, lot more than scale.
