Does Media Center Keyboard work with the 360 dashboard?

I have an Xbox 360 as well as an XP Media Center Edition computer connected to my TV.  I found it pretty cool that the remote control that came with my Media Center PC is compatible with Xbox 360.  I can even use the power button on the Media Center remote to turn the 360 on and off, so clearly the same IR instructions are used in both 360 and the Media Center receiver.

My question is:  Microsoft has another hardware product, the Media Center Keyboard.  Does anyone know if that is compatible with 360 as well?  Since it interfaces using the same IR port.

I'm not talking about using the 360 in "Media Center Extender mode" because I know that this keyboard is NOT compatible with Media Center Extender hardware, rather, what I don't know is if I can use the Media Center Keyboard to type inside the Xbox dashboard itself.  Similar to if you plug in a USB keyboard to the 360 you can use it in the dashboard to write messages, enter points codes etc...

Thanks!

Sadly no.  This was a deliberate marketing decision by M$ (in the same way that they chose to go the other way with a "universal" remote between all devices).

There are still rumours of XBox360 keyboard left from the Spanish launch presentation http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/8862/Xbox-360-QWERTY-Keyboard-Revealed/

Personally I think they missed a huge opportunity in not going for compatibility from the outset.
