Exchange Mailbox Missing Some Sent Items

I have an exchange user that is trying to find an email that was sent in April 2006.  her sent items however seem to only go back as far as May 2006.  Im pretty certain the user did not delete the mail prior to May 2006.  Any ideas?

Could be archiving.

If she has archiving setup on her current workstation then you can locate the PST file location in Outlook\Tools\Options - Other Tab then the Autoarchive section.

Alternatively she may have had archiving set up on a previous workstation in which case you may struggle to locate PST file. Annoyingly Outlook will prompt the user after a period (14 days?) to see if they want to AutoArchive. If they click yes then mails are archived out of Exchange and into a local PST without them realising.

i reimported the mail from the archive file and wallah!
