"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

CAUSE
This problem may occur after you install security update 925902 (MS07-017) and security update 928843 (MS07-008). The Hhctrl.ocx file that is included in security update 928843 and the User32.dll file that is included in security update 925902 have conflicting base addresses. This problem occurs if the program loads the Hhctrl.ocx file before it loads the User32.dll file.

Thanks for the easy solution.  This monthly service sometimes pays off. Unfortunately the last question I posed didn't get me an answer, even after asking an expert, I just bought newer products and software to solve the problem.  The time before that (about mid Feb) I asked several questions that didn't get answered for weeks.  There must have been a glinch in the system and as a result I had to call Microsoft which of course took up the best of a couple of days and didn't resolve the proble.  There's my comment.

One thing to keep in mind, is that this site is all monitored by volunteers. Keeping that in mind, in XP alone, I believe the forums gets over 100 questions a day. Some easy like this one, some more difficult. As the days go on, and the questions are older, they tend to drop out of site. You can always ask pointer questions to get more notice drawn to the question, after a few days of unsuccessfull attempts.

As a participating expert here, and I know I speak for a large majority, we dont like to see questions unanswered. even after a large time with no response we will try and regenerate some conversatio on a topic, but unfortunately some people just dont care to continue. I get over 100 emails aday from EE, and I try my best to get back to every thread to see the progress. Some do fall through the cracks though. Most of the established people do stay with their threads until completion, even if to say they are out of ideas.

With the new site, it also gets more attention when you post a site, because you can post in multiple TA's with ease, instead of the older way when you only selected a single forum. It should be easier than ever for a customer to get exposure to the people, and get the answers they need.

Didnt mean to rant, but just wanted to help explain the process...

Glad you got your solution. Have a great day!!!
