Hi All,

background
SBS2003 with printers installed and shared from it.

i have installed a new printer for our back office. it is a HP 4700 with an additional 3 trays.
is it possible to rename trays 2 - 5.

this will make the guys who use it a bit easier as the trays will be organised like so.

tray 2 - plain A4 paper for general use
tray3 - headed paper for dept 1
tray 4 - headed paper for dept 2
tray 5 - headed paper for dept 3

what i would like to do is rename trays to equal dept 1, dept2, etc

is this possible

TIA
Gareth

This would be a function of the printer driver rather than the OS and I don't think many (if any) drivers are going to support this. To Check, go to printers, select the printer in question, right click and select properties, advanced and see if the option is available to change the names.
