Loading crystal report using ASP.Net throws CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LoadSaveReportException. Load Report failed.

hi guys .
i am getting the following error when trying to load an crystal report and export it to PDF:
CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LoadSaveReportException. Load Report failed.

I am using ASP.Net 1.1 , C#, and Crystal 8.5.
See the syntax below:
CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument doc = new CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument();
doc.Load(fileName);// assume filename is the full path to the file. THIS IS WHERE THE ERROR OCCURS

The report contains 2 subreports. One contains an image, and the other contains an field from a database table. When  i remove the subreport that contains the field from the database table, everything works fine.
When i verify database on the report (and subreport), everything is up to date.

Any suggestions?

thanks

Can you run the subreport on its own?

hi mlmcc

i think i figured out the problem if your report contains tab spacing, then it throws this error.
In my case the problem was that the field retrieved from the database contained tab spacing. Once i removed all the tabs, the report was generated and exported to pdf correctly.

I am not sure if Crystal has a fix for this though.
