"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have only seen that when someone is using a POP3 connector.
Does that happen to all email, internal and external? Does message tracking show the duplication?

You are using POP3 to do what exactly?
Collect email from the Exchange server? Collect email from your ISP and distribute it to your users?

What does message tracking say?
If you look at the headers of the duplicated messages are they 100% identical?

I understand that.
What does message tracking say?

You need to look at whether the problem is something being generated by your client, which will show seven individual messages in message tracking, whether it is server side, so would possibly show a single message being received by the server but delivered seven times or something outside of Exchange, so message tracking shows one message in, one message out and the duplication is taking place elsewhere.

Looking at the messages received by others is also important. If they are 100% identical (and I do mean every element, message ID etc) then that can indicate where the problem is.

There is no simple "change this" fix to this problem at this time based on the information that you have provided above.
