Hi All,

I am accustomed to using Crystal Reports XI.  The company i work for doesnt have this software and are not interested in purchasing for the type of projects we output.

I am using Visual Web Developer 2005 Express edition.
Is there any software (FREE) out there that will allow easy reporting similar to Crystal reports??

Nope!! sorry; these reporting tools like crystal are business solutions

Thats why they are expensive

If you have .NET try using datagrids to display the info and there is a way to make them printable

Do you have Visual Studio?  It includes a copy of Crystal Reports.Net.  It isn't as fully functional as Crystal Reports standalone but it has most of the features.

What database are you using?

I will have to install SQL 2005.  So once i do this i should be able to use Reporting Services along with Visual Web Developer 2005 Express edition to run my reports??

If so is there a known link that i access to guide me through the "Creating a report" using Reporting Services?
