Error: (0x8007054b) The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.

Does anybody know what this error means on a Exchange Server 2003?

The Event id is 12317 and the Event Source is SRMSVC.

It means exchange can't find your domain controller - check that the DNS settings are correct on the exchange box.
