Windows Update 912442 hanging while being installed on SBS 2003 SP1
Ive got a SBS 2003 SP1 with Exchange 2003 SP2. I clicked to install the waiting windows Updates anf for an hour and a half now it's just been sitting on "installing updates" as it tries to install update # 912442. I have clicked the Cancel button against even though I prefer to never cancel this sort of an update mid-install.
So now it says "Cancelling" but I'm fearing I"m going to have to reboot this server to clear this up now. Hopefully not. Has anyone seen problems with this update installing? I'm not finding much on this one so far. Thanks.

I"m going to try to boot the srever into Safe Mode today and see if the updates will install then.
That's not what was recommended...it was that you boot into safe mode and UNINSTALL the updates (or any portions of them that are there).

The solution ended up being stopping the Ninja anti-SPAM services on the server and then the update installed ok.
