DllRegisterServer entry point was not found

I'm trying to install a dll so my PHP can work with mySQL.

I think I have a problem with regsvr32 or maybe with my registry. When  I try to register a dll it gives me the following message:  "XXXX was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found".

I'm not trying to register a .NET dll at all.

I tryed it with many other dlls, it's the same message.

Is there a way to fix is or should I reinstall all my windows? - I recently was killed a trojan by myself in my computer and there are chances I corrupted the registry.

thanks.

That just means that the DLL can't be registered through DllRegisterServer. Maybe you can try "regsvr32 /i /n xxxxxx.dll". If that doesn't work, it probably means the DLL can't be registered at all and isn't meant to be registered.

Well, many DLLs can't be registered. I don't think many .NET dlls can be registered. I'm not sure how they work but there's plenty of other DLLs that can be registered such as shell32.dll, jscript.dll, vbscript.dll, browseui.dll, and wuapi.dll

Thanks Orangutang!
You where right, I tryed the same on my other computer, and it gave me the same message, so this dll simply wasn't made to be registered.
