relaying mail with exchange 2007

i have set up exchangeserver 2007 and I have enabled POP3. My user outside the organization who access their email via pop3 are able to retreive their mail but are unable to send to anyone outside our internal organization.  I do not know how to enable this type of relay, please help

i am not sure how to set that up, in the articles i have read it talked like i needed to create a group in my active directory and put all the users that will be accessing the pop3 in it and then create a relay domain but i did not understand this information

from the organization tab
click on the hub tansport server
create a new send connector
configure permission to be for Exchange users
then retry

550 5.7.1 Unable to relay
this is the error i keep getting, i have created the connector but i did not see where it would allow me to specify exchange users

sorry for that i ment receive connector not send connector,
BTW can u receive from POP3 correctly?

also in the profile configure that your outgoing smtp server requires authentication

i can recieve email fine and i can send email as long as it is within my organization (the members of my active directory) i just cant send to anyone else

as i said, did you configured the outlook profile to authenticate to SMTP server

WHEN I TEST MY SETTINGS IN OUTLOOK THEY COME BACK AS ALL GOOD
