Outlook 2007 error after exit - must restart

Every time i close Outlook 2007 there's an error message popup saying there was a problem and the program needs to shutdown:

AppName: outlook.exe AppVer: 12.0.4518.1014 AppStamp:4542840f ModName: unknown ModVer: 0.0.0.0 ModStamp:00000000 fDebug: 0 Offset: 61e07194

I've run all diagnostics & repaired the installation.

Any suggestions?

innersource969,

Disable add-ins.  Go to Tools > Trust Center > Add-Ins  and disable the addins. If you have Adobe Acrobat 6 installed, disable it's add-in first. SnagIt's addin will also crash Outlook. If Outlook crashes when you attempt to disable the addins, you'll need to edit the registry. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins and change the load behavior for Acrobat, SnagIt or other non-Microsoft add-ins to 0.

I had already disabled the add-ins.

After some more experimenting it looks like the problem is with the MAPILab Groupware server connection but everyone else in the office is connecting to it without problems but everytime I close Outlook with the MAPILab connection active I get the Outlook send error report window popup.

10 Tips to Protect Your Business from Ransomware

Did you know that ransomware is the most widespread, destructive malware in the world today? It accounts for 39% of all security breaches, with ransomware gangsters projected to make $11.5B in profits from online extortion by 2019.

There could be another program interfering with MAPILAB connection or with Outlook. Disable all background programs, like antivirus, antispyware, .NET Framework, and all Norton programs.

I was having this issue with Outlook 2003 connecting to Exchange 2003.  The problem turned out to be the AVG 8 (free version) add-in.

Go to Tools / Trust Center / Add in and at the bottom select Exchange Client Extensions in the drop down list.  Click the Go button.  Uncheck AVG Exchange Extension.  You should be good after that.
