Assuming you have an extra monitor pluged in to your PC and your PC supports multiple monitors ... right click on your desktop select properties this will open the display properties. Got ot eh settings tab, on this tab you will see a choice for monitors stating "Drag the monitor icons to match the physical arrangement of your monitor" select monitor 2 and you see the settings appear where you can set this up ... look at the last option on the tab, its a check box stating "Extend my desktop onto this monitor". You can also set the resolutuion and color quality here also.

The display seeting can also be accessed by selcting start\settings\control panel\display

well on the back of you graphics card you may have an additional TFT connector (for LCD Monitors) or DB  (for CRT Monitors) connector for the video cable so in that case plug it in and away ya go :) .  Also depending on your MBD you may an addtional port to built into that.

If you are unsure whether you have additional portsI would advise getting out your manual for your MBD and graphics card. This will tell you what sockets you have and what there use is. Soft copies of these manuals should also be available by downloading from the manufacturers website if you have no hard copy.
