Can't get email thru YPOPS!

I use Mailwasher to display emails from several accounts. Four accounts are thru hotmail/msn and three accounts are pop3. Beacause of the pop3 bloackage,  I use YPOPS! v8.8 to access all the e-mail. Two pop3 accounts are thru sbcglobal.net and one is thru Yahoo mail. I have had no problem for two years. Three days ago, for no apparent reason, I am unable to download email from Yahoo - only Yahoo. I can read Yahoo email when i sign in directly through the browser. However. It seems every time Mailwasher tries to download my email (automatic every 10 minutes) for all 7 accounts, I get an error message, "Unable to download for Yahoo Mail. The operation timed out - no response was received from the server." There doesn't seem to be anything new that I am aware of to prevent YPOPS from working. I asked this same question on the YPOPS forum and did not receive a reply. They're a big help.
I deleted  YPOPS! and reinstalled the latest version but no change. NOW, after reinstalling, in addition to not being able to download I get an additional errro message saying I used the wrong password. I have renetered the correct password 3 times but it still says it's wrong. H E L P !

Greetings TonyLongo,

Temporarily disable Mailwasher and access your account directly from email client to YPOPs. What email client are you using?

If no joy, delete and recreate your 3 accounts in YPOPs.

Do other YPOPs users have the same problem?  Yahoo could have change its interface, and YPOPs cannot log in.

There may be something wrong with Yahoo.  Check with SBC Yahoo Customer Support.

Best wishes, war1

war1,
Thanks for the reply. I can access email directly through the browser but not from YPOPS! I am using either SBCGlobal (which is really a subset of Yahoo) or Yahoo directly as my browser/email client for pop3.
I don't know if other users are having the same issue because I have yet to get a response on YPOPS forum. SBC says nothing has changed on Yahoo that they are aware of. That may or may not be their way of not dealing with it. Who knows for sure.
UPDATE: Now all three pop3 accounts are giving the same error message, "The operation timed out - no response was received from the server." Still need H E L P !
Are you able to access Yahoo directly with your email client and no YPOPs or MailWasher in between?  Are you using MailWasher as spam filter or as email notification?

If the latter, Pop Peeper is more reliable as email notifier and does not require YPOPs

Hi,
Yes, I can access my mail either through the yahoo browser or the sbcyahoo home pages directly. I use Mailwasher as my spam filter primarily, notifier secondarily. I hope we can find a solution to this problem without having to pay Yahoo $20 annually per account to forward mail.
Where does mail go after MailWasher?  What email client?  If you disconnect MailWasher and YPOPs, do you still get the emails to Outlook or whatever email client that you are using?
You are using terms I am not entirely familiar with, such as email client. Mailwasher automatically flags email from all accounts as Blacklisted, Friend or basically unknown. I then check a box next to each email sender, whether Blacklist, friend, etc. to delete the email. Like Outlook it allows me to read the emails without actually opening them. If left unchecked the email stays in what I assuming you refer to as my email client. In other words, if I open IE, log in to http://my.yahoo.com (my homepage), click on Mail and it opens Yahoo mail. Yahoo mail has the same functionality as Outlook except that I can access mail from my homepage rather than having to open a separate program (Outlook).
The same is true if I open SBC Global, now AT & T Yahoo. I log on to AT & T Yahoo, click on Mail and it opens AT & T Yahoo mail (which is really the same as Yahoo with AT & T's logo added. FYI - SBC Global, now AT & T is my DSL provider, hence the AT & T Yahoo connection.
Hope this helps, without being too verbose.

It seems you were on the right track afterall. I just tried logging in for mail from another computer and YPOPS gave me an error message saying it isn't working yet with the new Beta Yahoo Mail. yet. I just posted that to the YPOPS forum for others to see as well. Thanks war1.
