I have installed Oracle 10g Express Edition today, but cannot launch the home page.My browser is Firefox and my operating system is red hat linux enterprise 5 beta version. Following msg is displayed,

Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1:8080.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I have tried disabling the firewall to see if it would fix the problem but it didn't.  Other functions such as sqlplus work.  Any ideas?

You might double check to make sure the dbconsole agent is running.
