I have a vb .net 20o3 crystal report that does not display information from a table with fields that I have placed on the report.

I get no errors. I am using the sa account for the database.  It is just blank where all the fields are supposed to show.  What could be the problem?

Is there data?

Are you filtering the data?

What is the SQL?

What code are you using?

If you use a local database does it work?

Are you using a single table?

Are there subreports?

I found the problem.  I was linked to a table that had no data, and I do not know how (in crystal reports) to link tables with specified requirements like you can in SQL server.  I need a LEFT JOIN, ALL ROWS FROM TABLE1.  stuff like that I do not know how to do.  So I had to create data on the fly in the table that was missing a record and then the report would populate .

Thanks

Since I always build against database views, queries, or stored procedures, I don't know how to change that for sure.

In CR8 there is a VISIAUL LINKING EXPERT under the DATABASE menu
In CR XI there is a LINKS tab on the DATABASE EXPERT under the DATABASE menu

From there I can change the links

The visual linking expert, I do not find much help other than to link common fields together or tie the tables together, other than that it seems quite useless.  Am I missing something?

The linking is just like in SQL Server.
