upgrade 10d to 11d back up exec 1606 error
i am running a small business server 2003 premium edition server, i have back up exec 10d installed and is running ok, i am trying to upgrade from 10d to 11d, when i run through the installation of 11d (10d still installed) it starts to install and i get an error message saying "1606 could not find network path \IDR\Data\", i spoke to symantec and they suggested this:
Check the values of these keys and set them to a valid local path. It would be best to set them to the default under the Backup Exec installation directory; I have added that information below the keys.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWAR E\VERITAS\ Backup Exec\Engine\Misc\Disaster Recovery Alternate Data Path
(Default: C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\IDR\Data\)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWAR E\VERITAS\ Backup Exec\Engine\Misc\Disaster Recovery Data Path
(Default: C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\IDR\Data\)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWAR E\VERITAS\ Backup Exec\Engine\Misc\Disaster Recovery Path
(Default: C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\IDR\)
Check this key and you may want to set it to 0 (meaning IDR is not installed) but recheck the key after upgrade to make sure it is set to 1 and the key will be in the new Symantec registry location and not the VERITAS location.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWAR E\VERITAS\ Backup Exec\Engine\Misc\Disaster Recovery Installed
I tried this but it still didnt work, any other help would be much appreciated. I want to upgrade the spftware because i dont want to lose the catalogue information.

what about our jobs that are set up aswell? will we have to manually recreate them?
Every time Ive upgraded 10d to 11d its error'd and fell over - (Im a symantec reseller) Do a fresh install and ensure you have .net version 2 installed (at least)
