Naming exported files
I'm using Filemaker 8.0.
I use Filemaker to track daily bug reports. I import all the bugs received from our QA testers, separate them by type, and export Excel files that are sent to various departments for correction.
Via a script, I'd like to automatically give each file an individual name consisting of bug type and date e.g. "Topics - April 10, 2007".
I don't see that Filemaker allows this - am I missing something or is there a workaround?
I see where I can specify a static output file, but not one with a variable name.

no, not really, probably an afterthought!
ASKER
Any idea why it's implemented this way, rather than allowing it to be done by a calculation (such as for e-mails)?
