I have a vista laptop  with Outlook 2007 and i am needing to add the the public folders which contain contacts from the exchange server 2000.  Much simplier with  Outlook2000

How do I  accomplish this?

Public Folders are simply in another view. Change the view to Folder view - it is one of the icons at the bottom of the column on the left in a default configuration.

Outlook 2000 is like something out of the arc compared to Outlook 2007. I would never go back.

I do have Outlook 2007 on the client.  I would like to add (create shorcut) the same public contacts folder that is shared on Exchange 2000 to Outlook 2007.  I am familiar with Outlook 2002, there is a Public Folders folder there but not in outlook 2007.

How do add this "shortcut" /folder?

Short cuts have been removed.
The most you can do now is add the folder to favourites. If the folder is contacts then it should appear with your other contact folders when you select the contacts tab.
