exchange 2000 public folder policies

What is the best way to set cleaning of public folders  if I do not need items older then let us say 7 days.y?

I've just red best practicies before I posted my qestion and I can see a lot of talk in general on setting limits, etc  but didn't see and policy example. and that is why I posted my question here.

Public Folders?
If you are sure that you don't want any content after a certain time then simply set an age limit.

You need to do this through ESM, not Outlook.
Scroll down through ESM to folders and right click on the folder you want to change.
Click on the tab limits and the age limit is at the bottom.
