I have been able to import my gmail account into my Outlook 2003.  However, is there a way to make it so those  gmail messages go into their own inbox?  I created a folder called gmail, but that did not solve the problem.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Yep - create a new rule.
Tools/Rules Wizard

Apply this rule after message arrives
 through the Gmail account
move to the Gmail-Inbox folder
