Name conflict excel 2007
I am trying to open an old (2000) excel document in excel 2007. I get and error "One or more invalid names were detected in this workbook. Those invalid names have been changed to #REF!" After I click OK, I get a Name Conflict box. In it, it says "Name cannot be the same as built-in name." Then it says Old Name: Print_Area then it asks me to enter a new name. When I try to enter something in the box it does nothing.
Any ideas?

It would seem that tou have a named range that has the same name as one of the built in names
You have named some cells Print_Area, somewhere in your worksheet and this is not allowed, you must rename it.

Thanks for the quick reply! I uploaded the file to www.ee-stuff.com The workbook will not open at so I can't rename anything.
Try this version: https://filedb.experts-exchange.com/incoming/ee-stuff/3318-B2B-Q4-actuals-Cin-and-Day.zip
Your original had several versions of the same name (not sure how that happened) which could not be deleted.

Rory

If you have Office 03 you can open the file and click file -> print area -> Clear Print Area for all sheets in the workbook then save it. You will now be able to open the file in Office 07.
(or any place where we can download it from)
If you use ee-stuff.com you will have to zip it first. Let us know if you do.
I/we can try to open it and maybe get the errors resolved if that is an option.
