MAC OS X UPGRADE PATH 10.4.3 (HELP!!!)
Hi All,
I have a Powerbook G4 (1.5GHz, 1GB RAM etc) running OS X 10.4.3. Is there an option to upgrade the OS? I would like to run Adobe CS3 suite but apparently I need 10.4.8 to run. I have downloaded 10.4.4, 10.4.5, 10.4.6, 10.4.7, 10.48, and 10.4.9 (ALL PPC) update files but when I attempt to install, I am told my system does not meet requirements!!.....Apple updater informs me there are no updates available..... Can I update or not? What version should I be running? I am confused.. Thanks Mocquery

Hi Strung,
I appreicate your continued support on this one. I think ignore the folder icon, it's only becasue I changed it. I am a little stuck on this one. Apple's update app does not report any available updates. The disk permissions have been verified and repaired.
Some details:
Machine Name: PowerBook G4 17"
Machine Model: PowerBook5,5
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (1.1)
Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 1.5 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB
Memory: 1 GB
Bus Speed: 167 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.8.6f0
System Version: Mac OS X 10.4.3 (8F1099)
Kernel Version: Darwin 8.3.1
Boot Volume: Mocquery
I do not have a classic environment for some reason - not sure if this would affect things?.

First may I extend my thanks to all who assisted.
In the end I re-installed OS X but bought a new CD 10.4.6 and updated from there no problem. VERY ODD.
I tried everything manually to overcome without success, but thank you all for your help, it is much appreciated. I will of course award points tomorrow.
Thank you again.

I'm running Tiger 10.4.3. I've tried installing ALL available updates including "combo ppc" updates. No luck. Error, Volume does not meet requirements....
I'm looking at file permission errors at the moment ,verify/repair, to see if this is causing the problem. I will report back.
Thanks Mocquery.
