If I have two Ethernet cards in my Sun box can I load balance Ethernet Traffic?

Thanks, I looked in to it a little bit but I haven’t tried it out. Without doing the group thing, what do you think would be the result if you referenced the same host name in both hostname.ethernetcard-name files?

I would guess nothing catastrophic, but then nothing remarkable either.  Why try to circumvent what the OS manufacturer has already set forth as the best way to accomplish what you want to do?  Sure, it'll take some work to set it up, but consider how much you will learn about networking and the OS once you have it done!
