While installing Oracle on Fedora 5: I have added the following groups:
groupadd oinstall
groupadd dba
groupadd oper

However, when i issue the following comman i get an ldap error:
useradd -g oinstall -G dba oracle
passwd oracle

[root@localhost ~]# useradd -g oinstall -G dba oracle
useradd: ldap-nss.c:1193: do_init: Assertion `cfg->ldc_uris[__session.ls_current_uri] != ((void *)0)' failed.
Aborted

Q How can this error be avoided.

Actually , i need to disable secure linux
Disable secure linux by editing the /etc/selinux/config file, making sure the SELINUX flag is set as follows:
SELINUX=disabled

However, under /etc/selinux , the config file is not there.
