AD Issue
Active Directory could not delete the following column from the database because it is being used by an index. This column was previously used by the following attribute, which has been deleted.

Not much info on net, if this is an additional DC, demotion and then joining as additional dc again, may solve the problem.

any details on what and where you got this error?
The error would indicate an attempt by the automated rebuild of AD during reboot or a DCOM error trigger, Ntdsutil will resolve the issue from Active Directory Restore mode, it is not a difficult issue to resolve. if you need more information on how to use Ntdsutil the look at this KB from microsoft.

Try it, as it has never failed for me, its as simple as eseutil, and the interface is the same, just more efective.
