What are the specs of the server? The requirements are pretty low to install exchange, perhaps were you trying to install it on a disk with the FAT filesystem instead of NTFS?

I don't believe if the error was serious enough exchange would ALLOW you to continue the install. The link is simply the hardware requirements/recommendatio<wbr />ns. You probably fell out side of a recommendation but with in a requirement. I would have to know exacly what the error said to know for sure.

File system is NTFS. &nbsp;Processor is 1.67 GHz. &nbsp;Memory is 384 MB. &nbsp;The error message said something about a known compatibility issue with this version. &nbsp;I had to check a box so it would not keep coming &nbsp;back. &nbsp;

I am currently installing Exchange 2003 on a 2003 server.  I keep getting a compatibility error referring to the link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=37488.  I ignored the error and installed anyway, seemed to work.  
1.  What caused it in the first place.
2.  Should I be worried.
