I have a new SBS 2003 server running exchange 2003 and SBS backup hangs on execution. &nbsp;I have to end task to close it. &nbsp;The errors in the event logs relating to this are-<br />
Hanging application ntbackup.exe, version 5.2.3790.1830, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.<br />
One or more components of Small Business Server Backup failed. For more information, click Backup in Server Management, and view the log files.<br />

When I try to run SBS backup, I get about 5 secs into the ntbackup.exe and the dialoge box freezes.<br />

What is causing this and how do I resolve it/<br />

NTBackup hangs upon execution

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
