I’m having trouble printing a double-sided booklet using Microsoft PowerPoint. I can print double-sided, but the pages flip in such a way that the binding would be on top and you’d flip vertically. I’d like to print in such a way that the binding is on the left side so you’d turn it like a book. Any suggestions? I’ve tried playing around with print properties to no avail.”

Hi,

double-sided printing has nothing to do with PowerPoint, it is a property of a specific printer (and many printers can't print double-sided).

When you click at Properties button beside the printer name, you get these properties. There should stay something like "double-sided printing", and the options: none / long edge / short edge. I can not tell you which options you have, because I don't know which printer model you have. Every manufacturer and almost every printer have their own Properties dialog box.

You can try with any other program, too :-))
The easiest way to accomplish this would be to turn the PPT into a PDF and then use Adobe Reader to do the booklet printing.  It has a print features specially for printing booklets.

There are many freeware programs out there that will change your file to PDF, just Google PDF converter.
