asked on Exchange 2003. How to enable pop3 protocol.
hello, we have an exchange server 2003 , service pack2 and we want to activate the pop3 on this server because users on remote locations they want to scan documents using copytrack and email them. In any case , any ideas on how to enable/install pop3 and what kind of configurations they need to do oon their outlook/express or pop3 clients ?

The service is disabled by default. Open admin tools and choose to enable and start the pop3 service and from the pop3 virtual server in ESM it should be enabled. After that your firewall will need to allow inbound pop3 port 110 in to your exchange.
