OK I looked up the event number 4099 & the event source WMIAdapter. I know know now that the WMIAdapter is the Windows Management Instrumentation. It is a component of the Windows operating system that provides management information and control of various applications that follow the standard. WMI is the Microsoft implementation of Web-Based Enterprise Management (WBEM), which is an industry initiative to develop a standard technology for accessing management information in an enterprise environment.
Great!
What must I do to stop the computer from crashing?

Go to Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services and make sure that the WMI service is started and set to Automatic.

Thanks KCTS for your suggestion!

Believe it or not I can't find the WMI service. The closest I see is a service named WMDM PMSP Service!
I checked under the Extended and Standard tabs.  Oh boy! :(
