Did Not Find Any Hard Disk Drives Installed

I have a WD1600AAJS SATA drive that will not pick up during an XP repair. It is running off a ASUS P4V800D-x motherboard (with the newest version). I have downloaded and attempted to install the SATA driver during the XP repair boot (F6) but still no luck. I also put this in another computer and I can access everything. That leads me to belive the drive is ok.

Any sugestions

Check the bios to see if there is IDE emulation, if so enable it, then install xp.  otherwise, find the driver for the SATA controller and hit f6 on install to use the driver.

by the way, if the driver is incorrect it will not find the drive.. be sure the driver is correct.

you can also try another sata cable, or connect the drive to the second sata connector
