Exchange using HTTP with  MAC mail?

ITcrowd used Ask the Experts™
How do I configure Mac mail to do the exact thing I have my Outlook configured so I can check email outside the company.  On a PC laptop I merely add the host on C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC and I connect to microsoft exchange usng http on the connection tab on Outlook.  (All cofigured and working)  Is there anything like this I can do with Mac mail??

Need help asap. Thanks

RPC over HTTPS is a Outlook 2003 or higher exclusive. It is not available for the Mac.

I use my Mac at home to access our company Exchange server, and use Mail to do this.
All I do is connect to the server using IMAP. Works very well without any fuss.
Just choose IMAP from the popup menu when you create your account in Mail, and enter the server's address and your login details and you're away!

Hope this helps.

ok I'll try IMAP.  I will let you know if it works.
