I'm trying to get an understanding of windows 2003 and dns. &nbsp;I'm trying to just set it up at home. &nbsp;I have my isp that gives me a static ip. &nbsp;I own my own domain where the nameservers are being hosted by sitelutions for my domain. &nbsp;Can i setup a dns server with these qualifications? &nbsp;I'm not 100% sure. &nbsp;I've been reading it but its unclear to me what the requirements are outside of the hardware and software setup.<br />

I'm trying to get an understanding of windows 2003 and dns.  I'm trying to just set it up at home.  I have my isp that gives me a static ip.  I own my own domain where the nameservers are being hosted by sitelutions for my domain.  Can i setup a dns server with these qualifications?  I'm not 100% sure.  I've been reading it but its unclear to me what the requirements are outside of the hardware and software setup.

Trying to understand windows 2003 server and dns

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
