I'm trying to get an understanding of windows 2003 and dns.  I'm trying to just set it up at home.  I have my isp that gives me a static ip.  I own my own domain where the nameservers are being hosted by sitelutions for my domain.  Can i setup a dns server with these qualifications?  I'm not 100% sure.  I've been reading it but its unclear to me what the requirements are outside of the hardware and software setup.

Thanks

Are you trying to set up just DNS or AD with DNS?
Yes you can. Make sure DNS is running on your server, you can remove the "." zone and just leave the Forward & Reverse Lookup zone in there. Right click your SERVER and choose properties then enter your ISP's IP address (Not the one you are given) in the Forwarders tab.
