I am using Ms  Project Pro 2007 software installed on my computer to connect to a
Project Server 2003 SP1 . I add the same URL that I use to normally access the
Project Web Access interface in to the Project Server Accounts dialog box and
no matter what authentication I perform I get the following error message:

Could not connect to Server
Project was not able to connect to Project Server because of the following

Client:An unanticipated error occurred during the processing of this request.

Hello ibmas4002,

Sorry it will not work.

Microsoft Project Professional 2007 is not capable of connecting to a Microsoft Project 2003 Server.  Microsoft Project Professional 2007 can ONLY be used with a Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 environment.

It is possible to open a Project 2003 local project (.mpp) file with Office Project Pro 2007.
