Access denied error message while upgrading Symantec Corporate antivirus server from 10.1 to 10.2.

Hi everyone
I am getting an access denied error message while upgrading my Symantec Antivirus server from 10.1 to 10.2  

After selecting the upgrade option i get a screen where i can select my existing server and the error message pops up immediately after adding the server. It wont allow me to add the server, what could be the reason?

I have never had good luck with the upgrade process so I always uninstall everything, install the new version and reset my preferences.  Make sure you use the same names for everything.

but if i uninstall and reinstall with the new version i will have to reconfigure the clients again right?
As long as the names and everything is the same they should contact the new server.  How many clients?  Once you upgrade you should push out the new client to the desktops anyhow and depending on the version the license file.  You set all the configurations in the console which the clients pick up.
