Sticky keys?

When I type anything on the keyboard there is a 2 second delay, I have to hold each key for 2 seconds.
How do I stop this?

Look in accessibility options under the control panel.

I suspect that filter keys settings | ignore quick keystroke settings is set to slow keys circa 2s.

Presumably the use filter keys check box is ticked ... remove the tick and all will hopefully be well otherwise if you want some of the accessibility features then drill down to change as low as is appropriate.

No joy.
It only works on password log on as candidate, when it goes through this bit all is good.
Is your keyboard a basic or fancy one ... i.e. is there a similar option associated with your keyboard?

Don't fully understand your response, do you mean it works fine in the pc account logon box and as soon as the normal windows display is presented you get this slow type scenario?
test it when running from a knoppix cd - if ok then, the hardware is fine :
ftp://ftp.uni-kl.de/pub/linux/knoppix/KNOPPIX_V5.1.0CD-2006-12-30-EN.iso
It doesnt work fine in logon but after logon all is fine.
It is a Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000 v1.0
LOoking around I cannot see anything that answers why it be dodgy during login but work fine subsequently.

Unless someone knows more it leaves me to wonder if there is an install issue.  Can you download the latest drivers from MS and install as admin / super user?
