Because on one of my other servers I'm running sqlserver and I was having connections problems. &nbsp;It was because I had name of the server in the sql.ini (which it's been that way for years) and now I've had to put the ip address in there instead.

It's running W2K server and it's for data storage. &nbsp;It's the PDC and handles the DHCP, WINS, DNS.

I desperately need help. &nbsp;I had to shut down my server yesterday to replace a battery backup and now it seems that the dns isn't working. &nbsp;I have no idea why. &nbsp;I haven't made any changes to this server. &nbsp;All I did was shut it down. &nbsp;I can ping from a client using the IP address but not the name. &nbsp;Any ideas?
