That problem would indicate that too many messages are trying to be transferred in one SMTP session without terminating the session and recreating it. Assuming that exchange is causing the error and not the Merak Mail server, (it sounds like it could be since the default exchange level is 20) you need to increase the number of messages which can be transferred in one session on the Exchange SMTP Virtual Server.

You haven't mentioned which version of Exchange you're using, but if it's 2003 you can increase the messages per session as follows:

Exchange System Manager > Administrative Groups > (your administrative group) > Servers > (your server name) > Protocols > SMTP > Right-click on (your SMTP virtual server) > Properties > "Messages" tab. Under the option "Limit number of messages per connection to" you can either delete what's already in the box and put in a higher value or completely disable the function by unticking the checkbox.

Hope this helps
Sounds like some kind of spam-filter from Exchange.
You might have so Message-Limits installed there.

Check your settings and maybe repost this to a MS-Exchange-Related Zone.

SyncMaster -> Just to note this message has been posted in the MS Exchange Email Server zone too.

How can I see, if a Question is posted in other Zones ?

Without actually viewing the questions awaiting answers in other zones, I've never come across a way of viewing all the zones a question is listed in.

Sorry!
Puuhhh, and I thought I was too blind to see the "double posting". :-)
