When I had to stop and restart sql agent (to configure mail profile), the replication distribution, log reader and queue reader cannot start.

Cannot start or just didn't start?  

If they just didn't start then you should be able to restart them manually by right-clicking the relevant jobs in the Management->SQL Server Agent->Jobs node in Enterprise Manager and then choosing "Start Job".  If this doesn't work then try stopping and starting the SQL Server.

If the jobs cannot start then please post the error you are getting.

Yes, that is what i had to.  I stopped and restarted the agent and they came back up.  Thanks,
