Publishing Flash movies to CDROM, windows xp pro

Publishing Flash Movies on a CDROM. Windows.
I have created a desktop folder on my windows xp pro machine called FCW. In this folder are 3 folders containing flash files, flvs, document files. I have published the main flash movie (which is in the Flash Files folder, as a windows projector file, to the same folder. All works well.

However, when i burn this main folder (FCW) to a CDROM, I have some problems. If I put this cdrom in another machine, when I click any links on the main flash movie that refer to any of the files in the 3 folders, I get an error that indicates it can't find the files. (Apparently they got saved with the paths from the original machine.)

Is there a way to publish this folder so that when I burn a CD, the file paths are resolved correctly? (e.g., using relative paths instead of absoluote.)

Thanks, Mark

i think u use root path on ur links ..... this is wrong .... you must use relative pass

For example :

C:\flash\files\ali.swf  (this one is wrong)
../files/ali.swf  (this one is ok)

Do you mean in the Publish Settings Dialog box?
I think i tried using relative paths and it wouldn't let me enter them.
Is there a setting someplace where I tell Flash to use relative instead of absolute paths?

Thanks

Hi Flaasher

I didn't use action script at all. Just put entries into the Publisher Settings Dialog box.

Mark
wait if you didnt use actionscript how are you calling the other files in the folders then?

Commented:

Flaasher,

I do use actionscript to call the other files. What I meant was that I didn't use actionscript to set the paths to the publish files - I just filled in the dialog boxes in the Publish settings.

Flaasher,

Thanks. I did that and now I no longer get the file cannot be found error. However, When I click any button not (on the main page or on a sub menu), the html file that calls the swf movie opens on the screen and just says "Done" but no movie plays.

Any ideas?

Flaasher,

Since it works just fine on the machine I created the files with, I assumed that the paths are correct to the swf files. Should there be any difference when I copy that folder to the CD?
